Nutrition is an important part of cancer care - but that doesn’t mean it’s simple.

After a diagnosis, food can quickly become emotional, overwhelming and full of questions you never expected.

You're certainly not alone if you're:

  • Feeling overwhelmed by mixed messages about what to eat

  • Constantly tired, with little energy for the things that usually bring you joy

  • Wanting to feel stronger and more supported through treatment

  • Feeling disconnected from your body, or unsure how to care for it

  • Wanting to reduce recurrence risk and support your long-term health, but unsure where to begin

The good news? I’ve made it my life’s work to help people with cancer feel more confident, more supported, and more at ease with food again.

Alex Salmon APD AN

Clinical Oncology Dietitian | Founder

BSc. GDipHumNutr. MDiet.

I’m Alex β€” a clinical oncology dietitian and the daughter of someone living with metastatic cancer.

After 10+ years working in hospital oncology, I created Feel Better Nutrition to offer the kind of support I wish more people had: space to slow down, feel heard, and explore evidence-based nutrition advice that feels achievable.

I know the diet struggle all too well having lived with an eating disorder in my earlier years. From my lived experience and from working with hundreds of women, I know how hard it is to let go of the diet mentality. I also know how much better life is when food isn’t a constant source of stress and anxiety.

I combine clinical expertise with counseling skills to help you feel more confident with food, more connected to your body, and more like yourself again.

Helping people with cancer find peace with food.
